Preparation of quotations for electrical and solar energy systems for clients

Designing layouts and performing installation of electrical and solar systems

Developing project plans for electrical and solar system installation projects

Conducting detailed site assessments for solar and electrical system projects

Performing of energy audits and recommending strategies for energy savings

Performing analysis of electricity tariffs, electricity bills as well as energy use

Assessment of power quality and recommending solutions for improvement

Ensuring ongoing compliance with the occupational health and safety laws

Providing project status reports and ongoing support to company leadership

Design, installation, and maintenance of electrical distribution boards/panels

Performing preventive maintenance of electrical systems and all components

Preparing design specifications for residential and commercial solar systems

Providing ongoing technical support for development of technical proposals

Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment /electrical systems

Repairing and replacement of electrical equipment, electrical wiring/ fixtures

Performing of electrical installation tests and commisioning of installations

Responding to client requests for resolution of electrical system problems

Ensuring that all tools and accessories as well as equipment are in order

Completion of work orders and recording of materials and hours worked

Diagnosing electrical equipment and responding to equipment problems

Performing quality inspections and control on electrical work performed

Performing any other administrative tasks as assigned by management

Work Experience

Minimum of 5-6 years of experience on a similar or related role

Knowledge of solar system installations is an added advantage

Working experience in industrial automation is an advantage

Experience with AutoCAD design software is an advantage

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Installation

Trade testing certificate in Electrical Engineering required

Wireman’s Licence/ ability to issue COC is an advantage

Being a holder of a valid driver’s licence is an advantage
